Devotion – Believing

VERSE OF THE DAY — 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 —Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

Most churches contain people who do not yet believe. Some are moving in the direction of belief, and others are simply pretending. Imposters, however, are not to be removed, for that is the Lord’s work alone. The Good News about Jesus Christ will save us if we firmly believe and faithfully follow it.
Father I thank you for your word. I thank you for increasing my faith in you. You said, blessed are they who have not seen and yet believe and though it would be hard for me to believe you are there sometimes, I trust you. I put hope and faith in you just because you are God. I against doubt and fear but pray that your Holy Spirit bears witness with mine that you are the Son of God. Thank you for your grace and mercy in Jesus Name. Amen
It is very hard at times to believe God is there but just as the air we breather, we need to allow ourselves to feel his presence. What kind of man would lay down his life for his friends? What King would leave his throne and come down to earth so that we can be saved. If you have questions about him, ask him to show himself to you and I guarantee you, HE WILL.
