— 1 Peter 3:8-9 —Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
Often our disappointments and fears cause us to become self-centered and demanding people, when our real need is to become more loving and compassionate toward one another. God is always at work in our disappointments and brokenness. He is full of compassion and he is willing to develop that same compassion in your heart also and enable you to “be Jesus” to those who so desperately need him. Love others as he loves you.
God I thank you for having a big heart towards me. Thank you for showing me unconditional love and compassion. I pray for a heart like yours. That I may love as you love and touch as you touch. In Jesus Name. Amen.
SONG OF THE DAY
Do unto others as you would like them do to you. If your heart is bitter, then in bitterness you shall reap. Have a heart to others as God has to you. A heart of Gold
