Your Mistake Is Not Your Fate

We all make mistakes. That’s a normal part of life. Some are more severe and heart-wrenching than some but just like sin, a mistake is a mistake, whether big or small. What you do with your mistake is what matters. Will you let it control you or will you use it and move forward. God will not despise you, so why despise yourself. Made a mistake?   That’s OK! Today is a new day!

We all have made mistakes… and each day brings a chance for a new beginning.

One thing that I have learned through my many years on this earth is that we all make mistakes. We all have regrets. We all think, after the fact, that we probably should have done something different at certain times in our lives. However, one of the many things that I have learned since giving my heart to God is that His Grace and Mercy are sufficient for all our mistakes. Though we may have stumbled and fallen, He is there to pick us up again and again. Though we have made many mistakes, it will all work out in the end. You see, God can turn all of the mistakes, all of the hurt, and all of the pain that we have gone through in this life and use it for good. We never “sign up” for pain. We never “volunteer” for mistakes. However, all is not lost when they happen. Though we may have to take a detour in our lives due to the mistakes that we have made, if we keep our eyes on the Lord, He will turn everything around in the end….

God loves us all and we are all called to love and serve Him.  So, even though some of you may be in a dark place right now, where you definitely did not plan to go, but either your life circumstances or your choices and decisions in a  spur of a moment caused a major detour in your life,  remember, God loves you. Try to keep your eyes on the Lord. Seek Him and His will for your life, knowing that “all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes”. (Romans 8:28)

So, have you made a mistake that you are regretting?  That’s ok!   Today is a new day and a new opportunity for a fresh start onto a new path. A new beginning awaits you…
