1 Corinthians 3: 16-17 = Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
Are you preserving the temple? Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit and we should live day to day, striving to perfection. Making a conscious decision not to defile the temple. Would you disrespect churches , mosques, synagogues or any man made place of worship? I highly doubt and this level of respect should be transcended into our approach to our bodies. That is where the Holy Spirit abides. God is a man of love but according to the featured verse would destroy anyone who defiles his temple and from reading the many times God wrath was shown to man, I would say, I rather not defile the temple. God continues to show us grace and mercy even though we mess up sometimes. He gives unconditional love. So why not preserve the temple in return? Our tongues or any form of spiritual act is not sufficient to praise God because of how great his name is, however he loves when we worship him. He loves when we pray and spend time in his word, all acts of preserving the temple. Lets all make a decision to live day to day, preserving the temple of the Holy Spirit.
