I just want to tell you, whosoever you are I love you and I am here for you. My hands are extended to you with love and so if you ever feel like wanting someone to talk to, you can contact me at arisewoman@gmail.com or 1 867 347 1762.

With Gods love I will be more than happy to pray with you and share heart to heart, however I can.

God wants us to be our brothers keeper. So I’ll start by keeping you. On Tuesday everyone celebrated valentines day but where is the love thereafter? Be rest assured, God loves you the full 365 days of the year.

Have a bless day and remember my hands are extended to you.

We Stop The Flow

Many of us are praying for something, some of which are MIRACLES (emphasis added). Please note that our prayers will NOT be answered and the blessings will NOT FLOW, if we are carrying unforgiveness in our hearts. These are not my words but the word of the Lord.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear. –Psalms 66:18

So please, let it go. Rid yourself of unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment and the likes, for its only then God will answer your prayer. His word cannt lie, so maybe your results is taking long because you are harbouring unforgiveness. Repent and ask again. Watch God bring it to pass

Daily Digest: Don’t Wait For Harmony–Create It

I feel no particular responsibility for the ambience, menu, waitstaff, and food at a restaurant that I visit. I come to consume and enjoy. Period. If the experience was great, I will be back. If not, I may never return. Not my problem.

I have no such luxury of disinterest in my personal relationships–at work, at church, at home. If there are dysfunctions in relationships, I own them. If there is tension in the air, I own it. If there are leadership problems, I own them.

God doesn’t want me merely to be a consumer in my workplace, church, and home. I don’t have the luxury of checking out if I don’t like what I hear and see. It’s as though God is telling me, “Don’t just wait for a great vibe–create it!” “All of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing” (1 Peter 3:8,9).

One of the great themes in the entire Scripture is the power of one. One person can change a relationship. One person can change the culture of a group. One person’s leadership and example can bring the Spirit’s power and affect the whole group.

God just needs me to go first. And you.

Finally, all [of you] should be of one and the same mind (united in spirit), sympathizing [with one another], loving [each other] as brethren [of one household], compassionate and courteous (tenderhearted and humble). Never return evil for evil or insult for insult (scolding, tongue-lashing, berating), but on the contrary blessing [praying for their welfare, happiness, and protection, and truly pitying and loving them]. For know that to this you have been called, that you may yourselves inherit a blessing [from God–that you may obtain a blessing as heirs, bringing welfare and happiness and protection].
1 Peter 3:8-9 AMP

Father I thank you for today. I pray that you will teach me how to unite, especially where there is tension and a qill to divide. Help me to walk according to your will and way. Thank you for teaching me humility and helping me create unity; in Jesus’s name I pray. Amen

The Return (What I Eventually Saw)

When our heads are hung deep into the pity party session, we hardly find time to see the good around us. This was me just a few days ago. As soon as I got this epiphany, it became mandatory to hit my blog.

For those my ardent readers, you all would know about my processing (as I now call it)for the past two years. The downs and semi ups and downs and downs and downs (in a nutshell ). I just need to reiterate, that I felt like loosing it BUT GOD. For most of the time, I thought of myself, since I could not understand why I was in such a situation. I am child of God for crying out loud, what was happening. (Again, my processing). However, amidst it all, God always showed me something beautiful. The “glory” of the view would be short lived, since it was not what I wanted to see but I tarried and I am still here, much better than before.

In realizing wondering and complaining wasn’t helping the situation, I decided to channel my thoughts differently  (which I believe was Holy Spirit inspired). “Why not help others”, I thought, even though my treasure box was almost empty. With this, I decided to have a charity drive until Christmas and started collecting food items and clothing. I went to my wardrobe and picked out pieces of clothing I would have still worn, to give away (SIDE NB: When giving,  please give your best).

What I didn’t realize is, my thought of unselfishness was all God wanted. As soon as my eyes came off of me and why am I here, and what did I do and why and why and why, God did something amazing.

My aunt came to support me at an event recently and brought along a BIG BAG of fancy clothing for me. I said thanks  (was grateful ) and moved along. Today though, my eyes really opened. The clothing I recieved was given to me before I even gave. My groceries was somehow replenished, not denting my finances, as it usually do. Isn’t God amazing,WHEN WE DO RIGHT BY HIM.

We all go through trials but I have learnt that the worst thing we can do is have a pity party or become so engrossed in self that we forget the needs of others. Those families which will be blessed are in more need than I am. Blessing the hearts of others is an integral part of the Christian walk and sometimes it’s good to bless even before you are blessed. Even when your pocket is almost dry, should you be asked for money, why not split what you have? It sounds crazy but God honors such a heart because it shows that you are not about self but about love.

I was always a giver but that’s when I had to give. God tested me in my dry season and though it took a while to realize, I am glad I did. It’s good to be an all time Christian. Be blessed and be a blessing. Don’t give for the return but I promise there will be one when you give.

Inside Love

Often quoted but I wonder if fully understood. It’s lies in simplicity yet can be a difficulty for some. Throughout the word of God,  we see that love is an important factor to a true life in Christ.  Love for God, firstly,  then love for others but AS WE LOVE OURSELVES.

Some would say they are in the deepest measures of love with themselves, yet speak from a place of hate towards a brother or sister. According to the word of God, that is quite impossible. Yes, you can be angry with someone but HATE, that’s different. This brings the matter right back to you. What do you feel about yourself? Are you truly in love with who you are? Which leads a little deeper. Do you know who you are? An answer such as, “I am a doctor ” would be quite erroneous because that is not who you are but what you do. So again, I pose the question. Do you know who you are? (Emphasis added)

We CANNOT love others if we don’t love ourself. This principle is extended over all facet of relationships. It just cannot be done. Be thoroughly informed (through the word of God) as I leave you to ponder on this topic. Have a blessed and beautiful Sunday morning.

If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
James 2:8 KJV

Pillow Talk: Family

It Starts With Me Loving My Family

Want your family to love Jesus like you do? Then it starts with you loving your family.

Most people could name at least one person in their family who does not have a relationship with Jesus (if not more). Whether you are the first person in your family to believe in Jesus, or one among many, we each have an opportunity to show the love of Jesus to our family members, including our crazy Aunt Thelma.

As Christians, we are called “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). This means that we are representatives of Jesus to our school friends, our sport teams, our twitter followers, and to our families. We cannot excuse ourselves from the great task of showing our family the love and kindness that Jesus has shown us. Our moms, dads, brothers, sisters, and crazy aunties need Jesus just as much as we do. You have a great opportunity and responsibility to show your family not only how much Jesus loves them, but also how much Jesus has changed your life.

• Using a journal, be honest and write down how you could be a better representative of Jesus to your family.

It won’t always be easy, but in every situation and conversation you can choose to be an ambassador for Christ and show your family the same love, grace, forgiveness, and mercy that He has shown you. While they may never cross paths with another Jesus follower, God has put YOU in their world not by accident, but on purpose, with a purpose and for a purpose.

Take up the challenge of representing Christ to your family today!

• Pray for opportunities to show your family the love of Jesus and pray for patience and compassion to continue loving them as Jesus does.

Daily Digest: Anger Management

The Bible doesn’t tell us that we shouldn’t feel angry, but it points out that it is important to handle our anger properly. If vented thoughtlessly, anger can hurt others and destroy relationships. If bottled up inside, it can cause us to become bitter and destroy us from within. Paul tells us to deal with our anger immediately in a way that builds relationships rather than destroys them. If we nurse our anger, we will give Satan an opportunity to divide us. Are you angry with someone right now? What can you do to resolve your differences? Don’t let the day end before you begin to work on mending your relationship.

Eph.4.26-27.kjv Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  Neither give place to the devil.

Father thank you for allowing me to see this beautiful morning. I pray that you open my heart Lord and remove all the anger, hate, resentment, malice and negativity towards people. Help me to love me, so that I will be able to love my neighbour as myself. I thank you for teaching me true love. I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. So TODAY, I forgive those persons who hurt me and pray for your peace in my heart, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
