Daily Digest: Not Like You

This world is filled with millions of individuals who can praise God, yet not one can do it like me neither can I do it like them. It’s amazing just to think that God hears our individual praise. The freqency of my voice is quite different to that of another. I guess the Psalmist David knew that, is why he said:

“What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? – Psalms 30:9 KJV”

Isn’t it amazing. There would have been others to praise God but not like David. My testimony might be similiar to yours but the time of testing quite different, which in itself brings a unique praise. I admonish you this morning, let no one or nothing stop your praise. The word of God says, He inhabits the praises of his people. God knows and love the frequency of your voice, so praise on. If you feel too overwhelmed to give a praise, know that weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. Faith it till you make it.

Daily Digest: Know Your Place

Why do we take credit for the hand of the Lord? Are we more than the God who created us? I would think not. Yet we beat our chest and feel highly accomplished when something amazing happens through us as a vessel. A type of sin that God vehemently abhors. For he shares his glory with no one. All the glory belongs to him.
We are just his workmanship, sent to do HIS WILL. Therefore, it is not our place to take on honour that is not due to us. When we humble ourselves in the hand of God, he will THEN exalt us and our territories will be enlarged.

As we continue to do, let us NEVER gave way to the flesh, feeling as though we would have done something great, for it’s God who gives us the ability to do a work and he is the one who completes it. His word says:

So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. – I Corinthians 3:7 NKJV

Lets know our place and give honour and glory to whom it is rightfully due.

Bless the Lord at all times and let his praise continue to be in our mouths. Come on and bless the Lord with me.

Daily Digest: I’ll Find A Way

I encourage you today as I encourage myself, that even in the face of questionable seasons, that we should find a way to give God praise. There are times when we will feel like giving, there are times when we will question if God is hearing us, there are times we think “what’s the purpose” and all doubtful responses to those thoughts, we know would stem from the enemy but just as I wrote in a post previously, we are to press towards the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus. This is a reminder and an encouragement that we should find a way to praise God. We should find a way to worship. Our situations and emotions should be set aside to give God praise. Just like Fred Hammond says in his song, let’s find a way to lift up our hands and to love him more.

Pretty young woman with arms raised

“I Will Find A Way”

I’ve lost some joy, I’ve lost some time
Now it feels like I will lose my mind
Journeyed long and lost my way
And now it feels like I’ve lost is all I say

Searching here and over there for what ‘ve lost
Where is it, I don’t know
I will find a way

I will find a way to lift up my hands (lift up my hands)
And I will find a way to worship You Lord (find a way, I will find a way)
And though my heart is low, I’ll find a way to give You praise
I’ll find a way to love You more

I’ve lost so much down through the years
It seems that all I find here lately is a face so full of tears
I search each dark and empty place
The peace I used to know, somehow I have misplaced

Searching here and over there for the things lost
I don’t have them anymore

I will find a way to lift up my hands (lift up my hands)
And I will find a way to worship You Lord (find a way, I will find a way)
And though my heart is low I’ll find a way to give You praise
I’ll find a way to love You more

One thing I’ve not lost is will to move ahead
And I’ve kept a faith that trust in You Lord
And I find way down within myself, a love for You Lord that overflows
But I know that I can love You more with every loss and though it all

I will find a way to lift up my hands (lift up my hands)
And I will find a way to worship You Lord (find a way, I will find a way)
And though my life is broken, I’ll find a way to give You praise
I’ll find a way to love You more

I’ll find a way
I know I will, I know I will, ooh ooh
And though my life is broken I’ll find a way to give You praise
I will find a way to love, I will find a way to love
I will find a way to love You more

Daily Digest: The 1st Priority

This post is only done to remind you/us, that at no time should we put anything or anyone before God. There is nothing or no person in your life that can ever equate to God. He is the creator of the moon, the stars, the trees and all that lives in it. The earth and all that lives in it. He is the reason for the redeeming of mankind because he sent his only son to die for us, to wash away our sins and to reconcile us back to himself. Just when you thought life was over, I am sure he stepped in and did a thing you least expected.

I know he made a total turn around in my life. I was heading straight to hell on a speed boat and there he stepped in, swooped me up, washed me off and gave me another chance at life. Nothing is wrong with loving things or people in your life but ALWAYS remember that God MUST ALWAYS come first. Always. Anything you add worth to the point of worship is an idol. God alone is worthy of worship and praise.

Revelation 4:11 – “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are, and were created.”

Daily Digest: Whose Glory?

2 Corinthians 12: 6 – 8   – For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me,; And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.
When we worship or do anything for God, it should be from a place of such humility that we never see the need to be exalted but allow all the glory to be his; to be where it truly belongs. So many do but do so with their hearts longing for recognition. I admire Paul’s humility even though it seems that the “thorn in his flesh” played a major part in it, hence him saying he will boast even in his distress. He was still a humble man and humble even his doing for the Kingdom.
As Revelation 4:11 says , God alone is worthy to be praised, honour and glorified.
“You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
Let us not ever become consumed by self, through the amazement of the power that works in and through us to adapt the Spirit of Luciver; wanting exaltation and worship that is due to our God. Yes he took his glory (all that he is) and placed it on us but only so that men would see his good works and glorify him in heaven, Matthew 5:16. Worship (in any form) was not and will never be meant for our glory. Just like paul, let us be mindful of such and be humble just like Christ was in service.

Daily Digest: How Is Your Giving?

2 Corinthians 9: 6  – 9   – But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”

The most amount of time I’ve ever heard this verse was during  offering and tithes giving in church. So it was my belief that, that’s all it meant and every time I gave, I would do so cheerfully because God adores a cheerful giver. However, this morning I saw this verse in another light. When I see the word “giving”, I thought of my service to God. Not only in works but also in worship and spending quality time with him. You will reap as much as you sow meaning (in my opinion), if you put out very little in worship, so to will you reap very little of the anointing and that next level experience in Christ.

You may ask, “What about the cheerful part”? Do you know that there are people who pray out of a place of ritualistic living, and not because it’s our mandate and way of constant communication with the Father? Some may drop on their knees do a half – hearted prayer and still consider it, praying. This can be applied to other aspects of service, such as, leading worship, cleaning the church, joining the youth group to give out tracks and the list can go on. Is that cheerful giving when done with a stubborn heart? I think not. When we give to the enhancement of the Kingdom, we should be happy to do so because we are fulfilling the Fathers purpose.

However, my most pressing thought is not what we give but how much we give.  He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, this is very deep and straight forward. It caused me to question my present state of giving in my communication with God. I see the need to give more, not to get more materialistically but rather spiritually. I’ve come to the understanding that when we give little, we get little and after a while rest in the Comfort Zone which brings a spiritual stagnant life. We then murmur and complain, questioning God. If he really wants to use us and why isn’t he. To answer that, we reap what we sow. If we don’t press in or squeeze, we can’t receive. Get water from the well without pumping. Quite impossible.

I thank God for his word because I see the need to give him even more than I do now. There is never enough giving to God because we are no where close to giving him what he gave us. How is your giving? Do you see the need to give more? I know I do. Give and it shall be added unto you.

Daily Digest: The Virgin Mary

While doing some biblical studies which entailed a lot of the understanding of Mary and God’s view on her, the thought of how some approach her, popped up. Why do some pray to Mary? Not meaning to offend anyone but pray was created for us to communicate with God. To worship him and adore him as we were created to. Anything that we worship, pray to or put in the place of God is an idol.

Exodus 23:13 – And in all [things] that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

When Mary is prayed to she is then deified. Something that God right out speaks against. Our worship was meant for him and him alone. We salute her yes. We respect her yes. Because through her came the Messiah but do we worship her? NO! She was human just like us. Would you worship your brother or sister? Though she was blessed amongst women because of her level of purity, she cannot make intercession for us. That’s what Jesus is for.

Romans 8:34 – Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

This does not goes for Mary alone but for anything we put before God. It’s time to lay aside the idols and worship him in Spirit and in Truth as he required for us. What are your idols? Are you ready to lay it all aside?
